Mr David Bonderman (Non Exec Chairman)
David Bonderman has served as a director since August 1996 and has served as the chairman of the Board of Directors since December 1996. In 1992, Mr. Bonderman co-founded TPG (formerly known as Texas Pacific Group), a private equity investment firm. He currently serves as an officer and director of the general partner and manager of TPG. Mr. Bonderman is also an officer, director and shareholder of 1996 Air G.P. Inc., which owns shares of Ryanair. He also serves on the boards of directors of the following public companies: CoStar Group, Inc. and General Motors Company and is a U.S. citizen.
Mr Michael Cawley (Non Exec)
Michael Cawley was appointed as a non-executive director of Ryanair in August 2014. Michael had served as Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer of Ryanair from 2003 to March 2014 and before that as Ryanair’s Chief Financial Officer and Commercial Director from 1997. Michael also holds directorships in Paddy Power PLC and in Kingspan Group PLC. Prior to joining Ryanair, Michael was Group Finance Director of Gowan Group Limited, one of Ireland’s largest private companies and the main distributor for Peugeot and Citroen automobiles in Ireland. Michael holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland. He is an Irish citizen.
Mr Mike O’Brien (Non Exec)
Mike O’Brien was appointed as a non-executive director of Ryanair in May 2016.
Capt O’Brien has a long and distinguished career in the aviation industry having just retired as Head of Flight Operations with the Maltese Civil Aviation Authority whom he joined in 2001, having previously served for 10 years as the Head of Operations Standards with the Irish Aviation Authority. Capt O’Brien also served 4 years as the Chief Pilot and Flight Ops Manager of Ryanair from 1987 to 1991.
Mr Stan McCarthy
Stan McCarthy was appointed as a director of Ryanair in May 2017. Mr. McCarthy has been the Chief Executive of Kerry Group since January 2008 and will step down from that role in September 2017. Mr. McCarthy joined Kerry Group in 1976 and worked in a number of finance roles before being appointed as Vice President of Sales and Marketing in the USA in 1991, as President of Kerry North America in 1996 and as a Director of Kerry Group in 1999. He is an Irish citizen.
Mr Charles McCreevy (Non Exec)
Charles McCreevy has served as a director since May 2010. Mr. McCreevy has previously served as EU Commissioner for Internal Markets and Services (2004-2010) and has held positions in several Irish Government Ministerial Offices, including Minister for Finance (1997-2004), Minister for Tourism & Trade (1993-1994) and Minister for Social Welfare (1992-1993) and is an Irish citizen.
Mr Declan McKeon (Non Exec)
Declan McKeon has served as a director since May 2010. Mr. McKeon is a former audit partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers and continues to act as a consultant to PricewaterhouseCoopers. He is currently a director, chairman of the audit committee, and a member of the compensation committee of Icon plc and is an Irish citizen.
Mr Kyran McLaughlin (Non Exec)
Kyran McLaughlin has served as a director since January 2001, and is also Deputy Chairman and Head of Capital Markets at Davy Stockbrokers. Mr. McLaughlin also advised Ryanair during its initial flotation on the Dublin and NASDAQ stock markets in 1997. Mr. McLaughlin serves on the Board of Directors of Elan Corporation plc, and he also serves as a director of a number of other Irish private companies and is an Irish citizen.
Mr Howard Millar (Non Exec)
Howard Millar was appointed as a non-executive director of Ryanair in August 2015. Howard had served as Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer from 2003 to December 2014 and before that as Ryanair’s Director of Finance from 1993. Howard is Chairman of BDO Ireland and a member of Irelandia Aviation’s advisory board. Howard is a graduate of Trinity College, Dublin and is a fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland. He is an Irish citizen.
Mr R.A. (Dick) Milliken (Non Exec)
Dick Milliken has served as a director of Ryanair since July 2013. Mr. Milliken is a former CFO of the Almac Group and CEO Lamont plc. A qualified Chartered Accountant, Mr. Milliken serves as a director of Bank of Ireland Mortgage Bank, NI Science Park Foundation and a number of private companies. Mr. Milliken is a graduate of Queens University Belfast, a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland and former Council member and is a British citizen.
Mr Michael O’Leary (Exec)
Michael O’Leary has served as a director of Ryanair since 1988 and a director of Ryanair Holdings since July 1996. He was appointed chief executive officer of Ryanair in 1994.
Ms Julie O’Neill (Non Exec)
Julie O’Neill is a non-executive director at Ryanair, Europe’s favourite airline. She served as Secretary General of the Department of Transport, Ireland from 2002 to 2009. During that time she delivered a successful IPO for the part-privatisation of Aer Lingus and oversaw the setting up of the Dublin Airport Authority to provide the basis for the subsequent independence of Shannon Airport. In a career that spanned 37 years in the Irish public service, she worked in strategic policy development and implementation in eight Government Departments.
Mr James Osborne (Non Exec)
James Osborne has served as a director of Ryanair Holdings since August 1996, and has been a director of Ryanair since April 1995. Mr. Osborne is a former managing partner of A & L Goodbody Solicitors. He is also a former Chairman of Independent News and Media plc and a director of James Hardie Industries NV. He also serves as a director of a number of Irish private companies and is an Irish citizen.
Ms Louise Phelan (Non Exec)
Louise Phelan has served as a director of Ryanair since December 2012. Ms. Phelan is currently serving as VP for PayPal Global Operations Europe Middle East and Africa leading 1,800 people in Dublin, Dundalk and Berlin. Louise has been part of PayPal since 2006 and prior to this she was a member of the Senior Management team for GE Money, a division of General Electric (GE), which specialises in small ticket lending for a client base comprising both consumers and commercial customers. Louise is also a member of the Board of the American Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Dublin Chamber of Commerce, CCMA Ireland, the Women’s Executive Network (WXN) and the International Women’s Forum and is an Irish citizen.
